What NR has not been shown to do, at least not with strong human evidence yet, is reliably improve energy, cognition, or exercise capacity in healthy adults taking it on its own. It has not been shown to slow aging or extend human lifespan, and no supplement should be marketed that way. NAD+ decline with age is associated with cellular changes in observational research, but association is not proof that raising NAD+ back up reverses those changes. NR is best thought of as one well-studied input into cellular health, alongside the more proven basics of sleep, diet, movement, and stress management.
